The Yoto Player is possibly my favorite purchase I’ve ever made for my now 3 year old. It’s a screen free audio player that plays stories or music from the Yoto cards. We are part of the Yoto Club which basically means you pay about $10 a month and get 2 Yoto points a month. 1 point can get you a Yoto card from the Yoto Club selection and ends up being a great deal since most cards range from $6-$14. And with your points you end up paying $5 (or less if you have an annual membership) for one card. The points rollover to the next month as well if you want to save them up. Being a Yoto Club Member also gives you free shipping which is great especially if you’re only ordering one card or want to get a new accessory.
We have dozens of cards at this point, many of which have not been club cards and I’ve paid for since I prefer my toddler listening to audio books rather than watching a lot of T.V. I came up with a list of my toddler’s most listened to and requested Yoto cards. If you are looking for ideas of yoto cards for toddlers, hopefully this helps! LadyBird First Favorite Tales: This is our favorite collection of fairytales and folk tales. With stories like Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Jack and the Beanstalk, Hansel and Gretel, I think most toddlers are going to love this one.
Frog and Toad: This sweet collection of short stories about the adventures of Frog and Toad has been my toddler’s favorite since day one. I love it because it’s calming and shares important lessons about friendship.
Paw Patrol: Honestly, all of the fun T.V. show cards are a hit. I love that my toddler can listen to them but doesn’t have to stare at a screen to enjoy the stories. If you have a toddler who loves Paw Patrol, I’d definitely recommend one of their cards.
Daniel Tiger: Going along with the T.V. show cards, Daniel Tiger might be the favorite. If you know anyting about Daniel Tiger, there are some really great life lessons taught about kindness and being a good person. We also like that it’s the same voices from the T.V. show unlike the Paw Patrol stories which is just a reader.
The Tale of Peter Rabbit: This is the classic story of Peter. It’s another calming story so I enjoy listening to this one too. There are other stories you can purchase in a bundle by the same author called, Beatrix Potter: The Compete Tales
LadyBird Audio Creepy Crawlies: I think most of the Ladybird Audio Adventures are a little old for my toddler to quite get, but he loves the Creepy Crawlies card. It shares fun facts about insects like bees, earthworms, lady bugs and more and has fun sound effects to go along with it.
The Gruffalo: Julia Donaldson is a new author to me but she has written some fun stories. The Gruffalo is a fun story for kids with an eccentric reader. You can also buy this in a pack with her other popular books for a really great deal.
My First Bedtime Storybook: There are multiple versions of these bedtime stories like a Christmas and Halloween version, but these short Disney stories are fun and engaging and some of my toddler’s favorites. You can purchase them separately or in a bundle for a better deal.
Winnie the Pooh: This is the whole story of Winnie the Pooh and possibly my favorite that my toddler listens to. It’s very nostalgic as I grew up reading the story and it’s fun for my toddler to hear it too.
Funny Stories for 3 Year Olds: It took a little while for my toddler to warm up to this card but now he listens to it on repeat. There are multiple stories of silly things that happen to kids and are fun for adults to listen to as well. There are more Funny Stories for different ages as well.
