Easter is just around the corner, and I’m sharing some of the items my kids have recently loved, or that I’m saving to add their Easter basket.
Here are some of my favorite Easter finds that are not only fun for kids but also practical for parents. A mix of gifts I know my kids will love as well as some items they need for the coming summer. Instead of one-time-use items or tons of candy, I’ve tried to pick gifts that encourage kids to get outside, explore, and will be used more than once. Whether you’re looking for easter basket stuffers for kids, or fun springtime activities, you’re in the right place.

Baby Farm Animals: I love this little set and so do my kids. Great quality, and impressive attention to detail. My kids love to play imaginary games with these, and it’s nice that they stand up on their own. These are a great size for play and to take on the road.
Toddler Scavenger Hunt Cards: These are great for neighborhood walks, or backyard adventure. Aimed for kids 3-5 year olds, they have simple things to look for plus cartoon visual examples. You can also snag an “at home” edition for fun things to find at home.
OK Play Travel Game: This is a fun little game thats perfect for travel. The goal is to get 5 of your color squares in a row. It’s perfect to clip on to a backpack or purse and you can literally play it anywhere. Would make a great Easter basket stuffer!
Wooden Farm Activity Board: This magnet hide and seek board is great for workshopping fine motor skills. Durable, packable, and lots of fun latches and locks for kids to practice with.
Sidewalk Chalk Paint: One of our family favs! A great way to switch up ordinary chalk drawing. Add a little water to to the dry powder to paint on the sidewalk. Non-toxic, doesn’t stain clothes, and no chalk dust to deal with. The colors are surprisingly vibrant and the kids love getting to mix the paint up.
Foil Fun- No Mess Art for Kids: Recommended for ages 4-9 this set will keep your kid(s) entertained for hours. Great for sparking creativity and imagination and honestly such a great price for everything that comes in the kit.
Bike Wheel Lights: Not only are they fun and colorful for kids, these wheel lights make little cruisers so much more visible to cars or other people around making it more safe for them to ride bikes at dusk.
Kids Fishing Pole: Our 4 year old started showing interest in fishing this year after he tried it at a friends house so we got him his own fishing pole with tackle box and it’s been so fun! We love to just take this up to the mountains and let him toss lines in the rivers. It has a button to cast so it’s easy for him to control. It telescopes down and comes with it’s own carrying case making it super easy to store and keep in the car.
Paint by Stickers: Perfect Easter book! No mess and great for older kids, who still enjoy a good sticker book (don’t we all)! Just like a paint by numbers book, except you find the sticker that corresponds with the number.
Wooden Puzzle: This montessori wooden puzzle is cool because it’s like a layer puzzle, you start at the bottom layer and it stacks on top as the flower “grows”. The pieces are great size too.
Fingerprinting Activities Animal Book: Love that this lays flats with the spiral binding, and the ideas are really cute and easy to follow. Gives plenty of guidance while still letting the kids create. You do have to wipe/clean your hands between colors, but easy to do with a baby wipe while using it.
Jumbo Bamboo Knitting Needles: I originally purchased these for myself, but my older kids wanted to learn how to knit. It’s been so much to teach them and now they love making simple projects on their own. This Bulky Yarn is perfect for lots of different kid projects. I also love to gift my kids something that will last a long time, and keep them entertained in a lot of different ways. This would be a great easter gift for crafty or want to be crafty kids.
Pressed Flower Art Kit: This little 4 inch press is perfect for pressing flowers and leaves for bookmarks, cards, or pictures. It has some twisting knobs for tension which make it even better for independent hands.
Disposable Camera: The perfect Easter basket stuffer. Great to send with kids in place of a phone, when they still want to take photos. Lightweight, and can take photos indoor or outside with the built in flash. This camera comes pre-loaded with film, so you don’t need to order anything separately. The perfect thing to add to an Easter basket!
Mini Silk Rainbow Streamer: Perfect for dancing, pretend play, or baton twirling. My daughter loves playing with these!
The Backyard Bug Book: The perfect springtime activity book. Great for preschoolers, easy to follow along, and lots of interesting facts and pictures. It’s definitely geared towards younger kids, but so fun to read together. Backyard Bird Watching Book for Kids: This book is so fun and has a QR code you can scan with your phone that you can listen to different bird calls. Has a journaling section, and DIY project ideas. Would pair cute with a set of binoculars!
Lego Flowers: You can never go wrong with a Lego set, at least in our house. My 4 year old is obsessed and we especially love these 3-in-1 sets because they get to take them apart and build something new without having to buy more Legos.
Kids Whittling Knife: This is a folding pocket knife that has a rounded safety tip that is perfect for whittling projects. It’s been a great first knife for my son and help him learn how to start whittling with sticks we find camping as well as cutting up foods or whatever he’s wanting to. Pairing it with these kids cutting gloves to avoid nicks and cuts.
Annie’s Organic Cheddar Bunnies: I love Annie’s snacks and these little bunny pouches are a great alternative for candy in Easter Basket for kids.
Mini First Aid Kit: A great practical gift for an Easter Basket. Perfect to tuck into a purse, backpack, or to keep in the car. Has all the essentials for taking care of minor cuts and scrapes on the go.
