Easter is such a fun time of year. The snow is melting and the days are getting longer and warmer. We have had an interesting winter this year in Utah and actually had a lot of surprisingly warm days. What’s it been like where you live?
I always get excited when the seasons change and while I actually really love winter because of the empty hiking trails, snowboarding and skiing as a family, and getting to dress in lots of warm layers, I love the ease of just stepping outside in a t shirt and not having to rangle the kids into their snowsuits and boots.
Easter is such a special holiday and giving Easter baskets to our kids has been something we have participated in since I was little. I don’t usually go crazy and like to come up with a few toddler Easter basket ideas to help get my kids outside as the weather warms up.

These are a perfect game to play with your toddlers out in the yard, at the park, or on the beach. They can easily catch the ball if you give them a good toss and they’ll likely make you work to catch their throw.

Up your bubbles game with these bubble blasters. We got a much more expensive one from Disneyland and it always entertains our kids for so long. Don’t forget to keep bubble solution refill on hand.

Kinetic Sand Sandbox
We love kinetic sand at our house and I love to just put it outside for the kids to play with. Snorkel Mask
We got this for our 4 year old right before our trip to Costa Rica and it was a hit! Both my 4 year old and 2 year old loved wearing it in the pool. It is a great design and even if water gets in the snorkel, they don’t breathe it in because they don’t have a tube in their mouth. Rain Boots
Rain boots are so useful for those rainy days or puddle jumping. We have had these rain boots for over a year and they are holding up great! additionally, if you need it, this rain pants and jacket set is the perfect thing to throw on over your kids to keep them dry. I love that the rain pants come up high and if it’s not actively raining, they can take the jacket off if they are hot. It would be so fun to set out with their Easter basket.

Springtime Books
Any book would be a wonderful gift in an easter basket. If you are into themes, the Construction Site: Spring Delight book is wonderful. This Everything Spring Book by National Geographic looks like such a fun way to show what happens in the spring in real life. I have also given The Tale of Peter Rabbit on Easter as well.

These sunglasses are polarized, extremely hard to break, and come in so many fun colors. I bought them on a whim before we went to Hawaii and I have no regrets. Now both of my kids have a pair.
3-in-1 Lego Sets
You can never go wrong with a Lego set, at least in our house. My 4 year old is obsessed and we especially love these 3-in-1 sets because they get to take them apart and build something new without having to buy more Legos. This Unicorn set that can also be a colorful sea horse or duck and Dragon set that can also be a phoenix or fish are both really cute!

Toddler Digital Camera
My toddler loves taking pictures on his little camera and I love it because he doesn’t ask to take them on my phone. It’s a simple design and he mastered it when he was just 2.5. And the pictures he takes are extremely fun to look back at.

This is definitely a splurge but they do have cute lovies for under $25. My kids fight over our Saranoni bamboo blanket at home and it’s the only one they both want to use so I think they would be so excited to have their very own. The toddler size is perfect but if you have a new baby they have mini blankets and receiving blankets. The Peter Rabbit print is especially adorable.
Ant Farm
While this might be more of an inside thing for your kids to take care of and watch, I think it can peak kids curiosity and make them wonder what the ants are doing outside. It’s a fun look into what the ant hill in your backyard looks like underground.
