When they’re little, I didn’t wanna have to put a firm boot on their growing feet, but everything else I tried just wasn’t warm enough, or was too tight and would constrict blood flow (like wool socks under footie pajamas).

This is of course my own experience. I’m not saying this is the best or only way to go about having an unmedicated birth.

The day after having a baby really feels like a whirlwind. I mostly just laid around feeding and snuggling baby boy, eating, and reading. I love our stay in the hospital but it’s also nice to head home when it’s time.
