Best Gifts for Outdoorsy Men | Mens’ 2025 Gift Guide

In this list of Gifts for Outdoorsy Men, I included items that are practical, things to help someone start a new hobby, or get them out doing what they already love.

I don’t know why shopping for men feels difficult for me, but I have had to put in work over the years to find good gifts for my husband. But over the years I have found some awesome tried and true gifts as well as had some recommended to me.

I love finding gifts for people to help them pursue their hobbies or find new passions later on in life. But that can also feel very overwhelming so practical gifts are always a good go to. In this list of Gifts for Outdoorsy Men, I included items that are practical, things to help someone start a new hobby, or get them out doing what they already love.

Some of these are things I’ve gotten for my husband or my dad, things they own and love, and a few that I am planning to gift to the men in my life this year!

Gifts for Outdoorsy Men

Under $15

Knot Tying Kit: I also put this in my outdoorsy kids gift guide but I feel like working on life skills as an adult is so rewarding. So if they learned them as a kids and want to freshen up, or if they never learned how to tie nots, this is a fun gift.

Sunglass Lanyard: Perfect if you have someone in your life who wears glasses and doesn’t want them slipping off when they are out on adventures.

Redmond Real Sea Salt: Okay this might seem really random, but if you have someone who always likes to add a little salt to their food, get them these mini salt shakers and a chapstick holder to put it on their key chain. That way they always have salt with them! I got this for my dad on his birthday and he loved it.

Universal Socket: This universal socket instantly adjusts to any size or shape nut. (It says 7mm to 19mm nuts if that means anything to you). Would make a great stocking stuffer!

Microfiber Cooling Towel: These lightweight microfiber towels are so lightweight and fast drying, perfect for travel, for camping, or for keeping in the car for emergencies. They help keep you so much cooler in warm temperatures. We use them at theme parks, on hikes, at the beach, or just anywhere we get hot.

Camp Stove Toaster: While it may not look like much, this is a toaster to use on your stove when camping. My parents have one of these we grew up toasting bread and bagels on. It stores away tiny so it doesn’t take up much space but it is such a nice addition to any camp kitchen.

Under $25

Uberleben Fire Starter Tool: Everyone needs a flint and steel striker. Whether they use it to practice making their own fine, throw it in with the camping supplies, or reserve it in their 72 hour kit, I think this is a great gift.

Battery Storage, Tester and Organizer: Having all our batteries in one place is so convenient and it’s nice to actually know what we have in the house.

Worst-Case Scenario Handbook: I think this is such a fun (and useful) book to flip through and read. From wrestling an alligator to evading drones to landing an airplane if the pilot passes out, has illustrated, step-by-step instructions to handle so many “worst case scenerio” situations.

Dr. Squatch Natural Deodorant: This is my husbands favorite deodorant and while it’s not the most exciting gift, it’s something he need and will use! I love that it’s aluminum free and it smells great.

Fire Starter Squares: These are great to keep in your camping bin, 72 hour kit, or even under the car seat if the man in your life ventures outdoors a lot. I love how you can just break off a small square to start a whole fire and save the rest for the next adventure.

Yamslam Mini Version: This is a fun and easy game me and my husband love to play. It’s basically yahtzee but you don’t need any paper, just the dice and chips. I like games with pieces like this so I don’t have to worry about anything blowing away if we’re playing outside.

Bluetooth Adapter: If you have someone who flies often, this headphone transmitter syncs your wireless headphones to the airplane tv. We use this on every flight because we don’t have wired earbuds anymore and I don’t like taking the ones from the airline. This is such a practical gift for the traveler in your life.

Garmin Fenix Watch: Logan has had the Garmin Fenix 5 for a few years now and absolutely loves it. He exercises everyday, loves to rock climb, mountain bike, hike, and just be active. When I got my Garmin Fenix 7 last year, we noticed some nice upgrades and I decided it was time for him to get a new watch. I had a coupon for it which helped bring the hefty price down a bit, but I know it’s something he is going to use and love every single day for years to come.
